They have been terrific--they give off a really nice patterned light. We hung them in tree branches aligning our walks, and the walks look magical. and they are going strong. They get dappled sunlight during the day (we are in northern california) and that seems to do the trick. Not sure if they would work as well in a super shady home or in a part of the country with cold dark winters (like Chicago, where we used to live). But for northern californians, I whole-heartedly recommend these!
