I have put them along one side of my 22 foot wide patio.
The lights get a good amount of sun each day, and I think they look great! 
After dark, they illuminate really well, and show a nice pattern on the ground below each one.
No matter how big your yard is, you will easily see these lamps.
These solar lights also pretty much stay illuminated all night long.
wake up just after 5 am, and there are always some of the lights still going strong.
I am quite impressed with these solar lights, and they remind me of a lit up ice cream cones!
